The weekend was marked by a worship celebration put on by college students titled, "With Everything." It seemed most appropriate that we close for this and worship together with other believers. Ryan had a chance to speak about the LORD's call on our lives to open Origins and what our purpose was for doing so. A senior in high school, Jennifer Stanley of Here Comes Hope also spoke about how the LORD called her and her friend to start selling t-shirts to raise money for the Moringa Tree project in Rwanda (David and Debby Thomas had taken their group to the nurseries they are growing while in Rwanda in 2009). Also part of the worship time we were invited to come and write down on a huge painted heart, what of ourselves we wanted to give to the LORD. It was very moving to see young children as some of the first to go forward to write down what was on their hearts to give to the LORD. (Some things read: I want to be an artist for you, I want to be a father and husband for you, I want to live selflessly, I want to be Yours!, and more).
The worship team brought down the heart and has it on display at Origins...extremely inspiring to read!

Me visiting with my dear friend Shannon Temaat....her family were our first customers last year!
That night we opened and served customers until 10:55, with a steady line out the door and down the sidewalk. It was exhausting, but so encouraging to have that many people supporting us and being willing to wait for a LONG time for their drinks (even with 3 baristas!)
